Using Moringa powder on your hair

Moringa aides healthy hair growth as it helps in keratin formation. Moringa powder can be easily applied on the hair as well in form of a paste or along with coconut oil.

Applying Moringa on hair

Moringa also aides healthy hair growth as it helps in keratin formation. While you could also use moringa oil – prepared from moringa seeds – or moringa pack directly on your hair, moringa powder can be easily applied on the hair as well in form of a paste or along with coconut oil.

You’ll need:

  • Moringa powder
  • Water
  • Optionally, some coconut oil

How to prepare & use:

  • Mix lukewarm water with a two tablespoons of moringa powder and make a paste.
  • Apply the paste on your hair and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
  • Wash it off with normal or cold water.

Add-ons for your hair mask

To try different moringa hair masks or pastes at home, you can mix coconut oil and moringa powder as well. Boil it, allow it to cool and then apply on the scalp before rinsing it off.

Similarly, you could add coconut milk and honey as well, as shown in this video.

Benefits of using moringa on hair

Hair growth: Moringa leaf powder consumption and application helps in healthy growth and re-growth of hair as well.

Prevent dandruff: While studies are still underway on this, given its anti-bacterial properties, moringa powder application is also believed to help prevent flaky scalp and dandruff.

Shinier hair: Regularly using moringa oil or moringa products on the scalp and hair are known to help add natural shine to hair.

Hair thickness & keratin formation: Moringa is rich in protein and this helps in keratin formation and also supports thickening of hair.
